In this middle-school classroom, the Pro Shelf stands beside everyday desks and bookshelves. Students measure basil, examine a seedling and record their observations, connecting the plants in front of them with the notes in their books.

At the Pro Shelf, students collect lettuce and basil with their teacher, then carry the leaves to a nearby desk. A small colander holds the harvest while the group examines individual leaves and checks the younger plants below.

In this primary classroom, the NutraTower puts young seedlings and leafy lettuce within the same activity. The teacher collects a few leaves, the children inspect their shapes and veins, and a blue tray carries the harvest to the table.

Beside the classroom NutraTower, students help collect basil while their teacher clips a sprig. Back at the table, they turn over lettuce leaves to examine the veins and edges, with the growing shelves still in view.
